Rena Matsui (松井 玲奈 Matsui Rena?) is a member of the Japanese idol girl group SKE48 and also holds a concurrent position in Nogizaka46. She originally joined as a member of SKE48's Team S but in April of 2013, she became the leader of team E. She has participated in the main lineup of not only SKE48 but also AKB48 singles. She is considered by many fans as one half of the center duo of SKE48 along with Jurina Matsui.

Bio[]

Rena Matsui participated in the first SKE48 audition held in July 2008, and was selected to join the group. Team S made its debut on October 5, 2008.[1] She was also chosen to be in the main lineup for AKB48's single "10nen Zakura".

In April 2013, SKE48 reorganized the teams, and Matsui was appointed the captain of Team E.[2] In AKB48's 2013 General Election, she placed seventh overall with 73,173 votes.[3]Rena released her 2nd photobook titled, "Hemeretto" on April 1, 2014.[4]
